This week, news began to leak out about how Facebook is working on adding hashtags to its service which, just like on Twitter, would allow users to refine specific subject matter from their timeline, reports The Wall Street Journal.
No word on how quickly this feature will be rolled out although no one seems to think it will be anytime too soon. But, when it does, it’s going to be really interesting to see how these kind of back-and-forth volleys between Facebook and Twitter will change the constant fight for user and, more importantly, advertising dollars.
