The School of Visual Arts in New York City is launching a Master’s degree in branding. What is that exactly? I’m glad you asked!
From their website, the program will:
-create frameworks to guide brand, design and business development
-evaluate business, brand, marketing and design strategies
-master the intellectual link between leadership and creativity
“Master the intellectual link between leadership and creativity.” I mean, what else could you WANT out of a Master’s degree? This program has the potential to develop the next generation of business leaders. Those leaders who understand the more subtle nuances of a corporate persona while, at the same time, use facts and statistics to create the foundation for success. (I wish the website had an apostrophe in the word “Masters” but that’s just me being picky.)
Anyway, does this sound interesting to you? Check it out and follow them on Twitter @SVAMPSB. Also, follow Academic Oatmeal member @brettessler…AKA the reason I found out about this new program.
I feel like, if their Master’s in Branding and my MBA were at the same dinner table, their program would pass my MBA the string beans, put up with its stories of “when I was a boy” and wait for the MBA to dodder off to bed.
My MBA is old news. And I love it.
