Facebook Places. Foursquare. We’ve all heard about location-based apps. We’ve probably even played around with them. But, do we understand that they can mean big business?
Hyping up school spirit is nice. Enhancing your campus visit experience is great! But even better…driving revenue! Offer specials when a student or parent checks in to your bookstore, coffee shop or food court.
The more smartphones become part of the daily lives (and they’re not going away anytime soon) the more location-based apps will make sense for your campus.
