Oops. One of the many people who contribute to Twitter’s official account accidentally tweeted to the Twitter page instead of her personal account. She owned up to it though, in a follow-up Tweet: “I shouldn’t assume ALL of TWITTER appreciates the musical stylings of Enrique Iglesias the way I do.”
Simple mistake and it seems that there’s no lasting damage to Twitter. Actually, it’s kind of humorous. But! Take this as a lesson to be learned. It’s important to know who is managing your content and be careful about what gets out through your official channel. What if the F-bomb appeared on your college’s homepage…would it have been as funny to you?
