Truth in marketing, JC Penney style

JC Penney has been struggling over the past few years. They’ve tried many new sales tactics – including the “Everyday Low Pricing but no coupons” fiasco.

Now, realizing that nothing has stopped the bleeding, JC Penney is going on an apology tour.

Their latest marketing blitz, called “It’s No Secret”, blatantly comes out and admits failure. As the campaign’s tagline says – “Come back and see us” – it’s straight up asking (begging?) for a second chance.
