Art Directors: Be More Interesting

Dear Art Directors and Graphic Designers:

Hi there. How are you? Oh, you’re busy mocking up website designs for the client presentation? OK, gotcha, I will make this fast.

Take it from me…I’ve presented literally hundreds and hundreds of website designs to clients. The traditional “Lorem Ipsum” doesn’t cut it.

I like the design but why is it in Greek?

Oh, if I had a nickel for every time I heard that.

So, why not make it obvious that the text is only supposed to be a placeholder? Why not show a little personality?

Even if you’re not pitching a high-end client like “The Cornballer” there is still no reason to present sub-par work.
