Diplomas are great but how about a job?

Share

Ever since the Millennials hit us big time there has been a switch from “hey, look at me, I got into college!” to “what kind of job will I get if I go to this school?” and because of that we’re beginning to retool our Office of Career Services.
Right now, it’s more a place where we will keep the student’s resume on file, maintain a database of job listings, and teach the student how to write better resumes and conduct better job interviews.

Internships and Co-ops, we’ve got down, no problem. But the full-time gigs after graduation? We need to get better at that and focus on that more.

Anyone else out there feeling the same thing? Any advice on how to make that change? Thanks!
